    I would offer this:

Our modern society has evolved to a point where rites of passage, faith, and virtue are but antiquated thoughts. This evolution leaves men’s lives somewhat empty and unfulfilled, many men want and need the challenge that Knighthood offers. To this end the quest to find a greater purpose to life than simply living to reach the end, compels some men of faith to serve not only themselves, but to serve God and the greater good, seeking the Knightly Order is, in the eyes of many men the path of choice in which to serve God and his creation in a fulfilling way that brings the challenges and purpose to life that has been forgotten and is yet desperately needed for men to reach their greatest potential as individuals.
    Just my two cents.

Very well written! I really like this. Thank you for contributing.

I am really wanting to join the Order, but when I send the email I don’t get a response. Is this a normal thing? Is the email address provided not working? I would like to know.

Sometimes it’s normal and we apologize. There’s a limited number of volunteers who answer the emails and lately we’ve been receiving more than we can keep up with. It’s not unusual for us to have 100 new applications to read through per week. God has blessed us with a lot of interest but it means that more patience will be needed for those that write in.

If you would kindly email me at the more empty box and I will give your email priority: info@OSMTJ.net

    Thanks and God bless

If Christendom (no matter what denomination we belong to) does not ‘Band Together’ under the ‘Banner of Jesus Christ,’…..then we will all go down in flames….seperately.

We are all Brothers & Sisters in our Lord & King Jesus Christ………not much else really matters.

I could not say it better than that Brother

    Brother Joe,

Did you know that the word ‘Knight’ is an old, old word…..and that it means ‘One Who Serves?’ Before one can become a ‘Knight,’ they must first lean what it truly means to ‘Serve God & their Neighbor.’ Jesus is the ‘First Knight.’ For He came ‘Not To Be Served,’ but ‘To Serve,’ and to offer up His Life as a ransom for the Salvation of many. He is our ‘Grail King’…..The King of Kings & The Lord of Lords. When we ‘Serve Him & His People’……we become ‘Knights’ in the purest and most perfect sense of the word.

So Brother Joe….continue to ‘Serve God & Our Neighbors’ and ‘By Your Deeds Shall Your Knighthood Be Known.’

I didn’t know that the word “Knight” meant that, but I’m glad you educated us.

in reply to: The Moral Magisterium #2129 |

Very, very interesting. I like it very much. For me, personally, my ‘Moral Magisterium’ is ‘The Grail Code/Two Great Commandments.’ To know, love & serve the Lord, my God, with all of my heart, mind, soul & strength. To Love my Neighbor as I love myself. To do unto others as I would have them do unto me & those that I love. To strive to love Others as Jesus has loved me.

I agree with you Grail Knight

Might have to put the degree on suspension, at least for full time, as I am pretty close to being hired by the Dept of the Army. I can still take classes online, and I am an “ordained minister” via ULC online.

Then Congratulations on your new job!

In many of the stories & legends about ‘The Holy Grail,’ it is said that anyone who drinks from it will have ‘Eternal Life.’ Jesus was once asked by a Lawyer, this question: “What must I do to inherit Eternal Life?” Jesus, in turn asked the lawyer, “What does it say in the Law? How do you read it?

The lawyer answered, “In the Law, it says that I am to love the Lord my God with all of my heart, mind, soul & strength….and my Neighbor as myself.” Jesus said to him, “You have answered correctly. Do those things & you will live. You will have Eternal Life.”

That is why it is called ‘The Grail Code.’

Ahhh! I had totally missed that until you explained it. I wondered why you called it the Grail Code but that makes sense. Has anyone figured this out without you explaining?

    1. First Degree Member – Page
    2. Second Degree Member – Squire
    3. Third Degree Member – Brother Knight (This is when a member actually receives the ‘Accolade’.)
    4. Fourth Degree Member – Worthy Sir Knight

Thank you for teaching me this, I didn’t know. What would you say are the major differences between the Knights of Columbus and a Masonic Knight?

I noticed that ‘The Knights Templar’ originally had ’76 Rules’ that they were expected to follow. Wow! Talk about complicating matters. As a Knight of Columbus/Knight of The Grail Code, I have only ‘2 Rules’ to follow. They are ‘God’s Two Great Commandments.’

    1. To Know Love & Serve the Lord my God with all of my heart, mind, Soul & Strength.

    2. To Love my Neighbor as I love myself. To do unto others as I would have them do unto me and unto those that I love. To ‘Love Others’ as my ‘Grail King – Jesus Christ’ has loved me.

The entire Bible is founded on those ‘Two Great Commandments.’ Everything else is just commentary. It is ‘The Grail Code’…..The Holy Grail of Chivalry.

Christ sure did simplify the rules down to two huh? Amazing
