Admissions

Admission to the Ordo Supremus Militaris Templi Hierosolymitani, Priory of England and Wales, is open to Christian men and women over the age of eighteen.  Applicants, called "postulants," have to possess respectability, the virtues and motivation of a true Christian, and a willingness to support the aims of the order. A postulant must be sponsored by a Knight of the Order, and interviewed by the Priory Chancellor and either the Priory Chaplain or Marshall. All postulants must complete applications (including photograph) which are then forwarded, along with the recommendations of the Grand Prior, Priory Chancellor and Marshall; to the Grand Master, the Prince Regent, S.A.E. Count Don Fernando Campello Pinto Pereira de Sousa Fontes in Portugal for approval.  Only if approved by the Grand Master himself, may the postulant be invested with the white mantle with double red cross and collar of a Knight Templar.

Please remember we are the Grand Priory of England and Wales.  If you would like contacts to other Priories of the Knights Templar in other countries, please e-mail us at the address above.  Having said that, there is no restriction on non-British joining our Priory.  We have quite a few members from other countries, especially the United States of America. If you are willing to travel to the United Kingdom and meet the other qualifications, you are most welcome to apply for membership in our Priory.
