    Brothers & Sisters,

There are numerous issues of church doctrine including the Supreme Court’s recent decision on gay marriage that have the potential to divide us and destroy the unity of our Order.

This Order is focused on one purpose alone: bringing all Christians together in unity to share the love of Christ to this world while encouraging Christians to adopt the Dedication and commitment to God of the Knights Templar through living Chivalrous lives in the modern world. What we take a stand for is laid out in 3 Creeds: Apostles Creed, Nicene Creed, and Athanasian Creed which you can read here: http://www.TheKnightsTemplar.org/creeds/

Let me take this time to remind you that it is neither our purpose or place as an Order to take positions on church doctrine. We leave this to your local church and we will NEVER take the place of your local church where you attend. Every member needs to belong to a local church where you will grow in your faith. We ask you kindly to not post about divisive issues of doctrine or politics and understand that your post will be deleted if you do.

Every successful Christian movement like the Promise Keepers keeps a narrow focus and goal for Christ. The Promise Keepers spread all across the United States and succeeded because they focused only on unifying men to be Godly fathers and husbands. They did not get involved with church doctrine. We seek to be the next Christian Movement and, like the Promise Keepers, we will stick to our narrow focus for the glory of God.

Every member is encouraged to take a stand for their own positions on church doctrine in their sphere of influence: in their church, among their friends, on their social media, and in the many other groups who take on these issues.

Thank you again for your understanding and let’s continue showing the world the love of Christ and calling the church to rise up to be as committed as the Knights Templar as we ride boldly forth in His name.

Well written and explained. We must remember that it is not for us to judge but our Lord God who is the only one to have that position. But we must remain in our steadfast belief that what we are doing is correct in what our Lord Jesus had taught us and do our best to be the Christians that we profess to be. Be a cup that is just as clean on the inside as we are on the outside and not full of filth and dirt on the inside and clean looking on the outside as many people are. Jesus put it in the perfect context of “Do not try to remove the splinter from your brothers eye until you first remove the rafter from your own. Then you will be able to see clearly to remove the splinter from your brothers eye”. So in other words we are all sinners in one way or another and must also deal with our own short comings. We must do what is right in the Lords eyes and always try to be there for our Brothers and Sisters in Christ and if something offends us or makes us uncomfortable of which we know to be wrong in the eyes of our Lord do not hesitate to pick up the Bible and see what it says about certain situations to help us move forward with the situation. The Bible is like an owners manual for our own bodies and souls and has never let us down yet. It is Gods perfect word to help us make it through life and to bring us closer to him. If we see our brother or sister moving in the wrong direction it is ok to let them know as it is ok for them to do the same with us. We need them to lean on as much as they need us. But when you correct a brother or sister.. do it in a kind and loving way and sit down with a Bible and see what things say. We may be wrong after all and stand corrected. Do not be vindictive or controlling that is NOT what God wants of us…be kind in brotherly way. But do not be judgmental, you can always pray for them. for God to bring them back to his fold and open their eyes to what is right in the eyes of God. Love God with all of our might and all of our strength and love one another as you love yourself and all of the Commandments will fall into place. God bless from Ireland

I agree that we brethern should be of one mind and one mission, though I also believe that passing off a question or “issue” someone needs clarity on should also be transparently addressed, as to ignore it will also cause division. So I personally will never shy away from lending an ear or discussing a topic with any of the members here. I hope we all can agree that some issues will always have two sides (politics, abortion, different churches’ beliefs, etc…) but in the name of standing tall, side by side and never relenting we always realize that no man (or woman) is perfect and therefore will sadly always eventually lead into conflict with another. I support Brother De Moley whole heartedly and will give some advice I learned as a young NCO (Non Commissioned Officer) in the Army……it was to pull your next-in-line leadership aside if you have an issue that might not be well received by the “team”. Therefore you are bringing it to the leaders attention and he/she will make the decision on how to properly bring the topic to the table for discussion. I think we have all seen (on social media) someone blurting out a personal opinion, which uncontrolled havoc breaks out and people always end up saying things they later regret.

I hope this may have helped in some fashion. Just my mere “two cents”.
